I've never worn a sleep bonnet before, but after growing my hair out during COVID lockdowns last year, the length started making my hair really unmanageable. Sleeping in this bonnet changed that. Pro tip: Pile your hair on TOP of your head - the bonnet fits better and feels less tight compared to making a low bun. No hair ties needed... I just make a bun, hold it with my hand, and immediately slide the bonnet on like you would with a swim cap, and my hair stays inside. I considered getting a "fancy" brand name bonnet, but, I'm so glad I took a chance on this one. It does the job and I wake up tangle-free.Also, if you use a satin or silk pillowcase, skip that when wearing the bonnet. I slept with my bonnet and satin pillowcase together once, and the bonnet slipped off at night. If I use a regular cotton pillowcase, then the bonnet stays put.As far as caring for the bonnet, I put mine in a lingerie bag and machine wash on gentle cycle, then let it air dry. So far so good.
